이틀전 페이스북이 트럼프 캠프에
고객성향 정보를 넘겨주었다는 소식에 주가가 폭락하여
하루만에 시총 37조가 증발하였습니다.
물론 페이스북은 가입자 수억명의 성공한
플랫폼이긴 합니다만,
광고료 및 기타 수익금의 원천은 유저들이
작성한 게시물에서 나오는 것입니다.

하지만 페이스북이 일년에 수조를 벌어도
유저들에게 돌아오는 것은 없습니다.

반면 스팀잇은 자기의 글에 대해 
적절한 보상을 받을 수 있도록 설계되어습니다.
물론 지금은 초창기다 보니
유저수도 적고 스팀파워가 높은 분들에게 보상이
몰리는 경향이 없지 않아 있습니다만,

스팀잇의 가치는 평가하는 사람마다
관점에 차이가 있겠지만
저는 수익의 분배!! 모델에서 나오는 것이라 생각합니다.

좋은 글에 댓가를 지불한다는 것은 새로운 콘텐츠 창작을 장려하는 것이니 긍정적이라 생각됩니다. 
제가 의문을 품는 것은 댓가의 지불 수단이 모두가 가치를 인정하고 그 가치를 판단할 수 있는 화폐가 아니라는 것에 있습니다.  

스팀이란 말을 빼고 포인트라 바꿔 생각하신다면 어떻게 느껴지시나요?  네이버에서 운영하는 '콩'이라 생각하면 어떨까요?   수익의 분배 수단으로 자체 발생한 포인트는 적절하지 않아 보입니다.
