There are many posts like this lately, and I tend to agree. But the problem may not be bots specifically, it's the incentive structure. Having your actions translate into monetary gain will lead to people engaging in certain behaviors, bots just automate those behaviors.

Yes, but bots are the reason vote buying can easily happen. If there weren't there, it wouldn't be so easy for people to delegate and sell their votes. The problem wouldn't be as big.
