The move towards institutionalizing the cryptocurrency asset class has started.  Once regulation finalizes its framework some time this year and products are created for custodial services, the amount of potential capital coming in will overwhelm exchanges and networks which could drive prices much higher.  It will be interesting to see how institutions will compete with current participants which are more retail and hold a substantial amount.
