SBD = 1$ worth of Steem. SBD does not equal $1 worth of USD to my understanding. I would say if you're taking profits weekly from Steem to survive on it's better to get paid in SBD to hedge against crypto volatility.  If you're in Steemit for the long term SP all the way.
