it is getting increasingly difficult to mine, the best way to get some would be to buy them, i would suggest that you buy a few from the top ten list (check coinmarketcap.com for the ranking) Bitcoins are out of the question now because they are just too expensive - perhaps you can but litecoins etheruem etc, these are still within reach - you go to a website called coinbase.com (it is the most trusted website in this market space) , register and you can buy via there ..... if you want to be really adventurous you can go on a website called bittrex there you can buy some of the up and coming coins which are still dirt cheap. I have a post on my page with a list of 5 cheap coins which i feel have potential, you might well want to have a read of that
