After a 4 years hiatus,


DEPRESSION
I now understand a tidbit about depression 
It crawls like the millipede, 
Slowly, without effort into your temple
Establishing itself, like a bee will have a colony 
It gushes like a fountain, poisoning your sanity
Cycles , cycles, cycles and over time, 
A new being is made
Downgraded, but with a confusing configuration.

Suddenly, gluttony becomes your solace
Aloneness creates a phantom heaven
Like a jaundiced fellow, friends become itchy.
Scenarios you will create, always of the worst
This moment, your adrenaline pump is disabled
You prefer the limitations. 
You blame yourself, even for nature’s curse. 
Like a fool, you engage in advanced foolery
All in a bid to escape this refractory pit.
But you fail, because distractions are temporary. 


Funny enough, you knew this would happen. 
If only you had answered questions honestly 
Questions like - “How are you?”, 
You would have had a rope thrown at you
A rope made of encouragement, love and action
Friends, mentors and family will supply all these. 
Experience, the best teacher they say
Would have been multiple from them, guiding you. 
Someone interested, will keep asking/nudging you 
“Talk to someone, Get us involved! It’s easier”
If you will listen, which you should 
Like a Hollywood classic, you can then win.
