I don't know about the increasing amounts of energy wasting into crypto mining. There are other possibilities than POW and its enormous amounts of energy consumption. For example POS and dPOS are far more energy efficient than POW and they perform the same Blockchain tasks like Bitcoin. I wonder how sustainable the POW network is in the long term?
