Before you spend on memory, find out what's in your GPU. Get the specs on the equipment and then get some good advice. I run 16Gb of RAM, but I don't have a GPU, I run it all through built in graphics, ..barely.

GTX 960 with 4g of vram if I remember correctly, but I only have 8GB of ram, skyrim SE with extensive mods runs fine, adding streaming to the mix seems to need a little tweaking. Overall, I could do with a pc upgrade at this point. I've used it for 5-6 years.
