Pro social voters are mostly voting to support others and/or the platform. Selfish voters are voting for maximum ROI. For those who are voting pro-socially now, reducing author rewards undermines the power of their vote. For selfish voters, the math hasn't really changed and it's still better to self vote or sell to a bot. I say that as someone who makes most of their Steem via curation rewards now. Also, I would favor a curation reward slider. Perhaps from 25% to 100% curation rewards on a post. Front ends could have a "High curation rewards" symbol on posts which meet a certain threshold.
