Voted yes. People seem to be focusing on the 50/50 being unfair to authors. On a micro level perhaps that is a correct statement. On a macro level I think there will be more users incentivized to curate, therefore authors will receive more rewards in the aggregate. You could also allow people to chose the ratio themselves, and place that ratio front and center on the newsfeed, so people can decide if they want to click on the content at all based upon the ratio. I could see generous folks like @theycallmedan or @kus-knee giving 75% to curators just to help spread more wealth around. If people see such a ratio, they might end up dog-piling the votes and the post ends up earning them more rewards than the standard ratio. Why not take the position of, it's your content, you choose the split. We'll make it obvious to everyone which way you are choosing, so the community can see where your priorities lie, and whether we want to follow you or upvote your content at all.
