Which is, as you yourself said, just shitty for your hair. So in case you do that, I wish you the minimum amount of damage ;)

Yes, bleaching is definitely going to happen, but I have high hopes for my hair surviving it when I go to a salon and have a professional do it. I think I did hardcore bleach three times in two weeks to get the dark out, and even that didn't completely ruin my hair to the point that it would just break off. My hair is on the lighter brown side so I think that would both make it easier to go blonde, and to have it suit me, my features are light overall.

Man, your hair is hardcore :O I bleached it once and it got really, disappointingly gross and was damaged for about a year... > My hair is on the lighter brown side so I think that would both make it easier to go blonde, and to have it suit me, my features are light overall. I am a DIY person usually but this time I think it would be best to go to a professional, I have a childhood friend who does blonde hair really well. Besides, in Finland, it's really hard to find proper hair colours for consumers, there is only box dyes and never proper toners, which are pretty damn essential for blonde hair.
