This person seems confused as to the difference between sex and gendre. Scientifically there are two sexes. There are more than 2 gendres. The teacher is correct to back this up but should have explained this to the student.

The problem with indoctrination is when you force something upon someone uncritically. Actually throughout time gender and sex have been used interchangeably. Science says nothing about multiple genders. This isn't my opinion, by the way, this is what science says that I am repeating.
