I guess I will have to give it a try one of these days. It would have been fun to prank my guests and tell them it is a Swedish delicacy, so they would feel rude not to give it a try. In the end i guess the joke would have been on me as I would have had to clean up the mess

Haha I also heard this advice. My dad had a friend with moles in his garden so he stuck some Surströmming down their tunnels and they disappear. Definitely says something about how disgusting it is
