### As we prepare for a frost, we say good bye to the tomatoes.

### As temps cool off, the cool season crops come into their prime. 

We love the shoulder seasons for this reason. Plants like arugula, kale, chickweed, clover and winter peas are all doing splendidly during the cooler daytime temps.

### These represent a welcome addition to the diet as we are invited to eat more cool loving greens. 

The end of the summer growth allows for closing things up. In this case it means kissing the tomatoes goodbye and eating some fried green tomatoes.

I plan to dig a rosemary to bring inside, as serious frost is due on Thurs. I also have planned to clean out the area where I need to plant garlic today. Tomorrow my intern comes and we will start planting. This, of course, meant I had to plan next year's garden in the Big garden...
