Looking forward to it! :)
My personal opinion is that the blockchain technology that is gaining more and more popularity and usability every day is just one of the nails in the coffin of media as we used to know it delivered by the internet.
Even generally dreaded social media platforms like Facebook have been eroding the position of what used to be mainstream media and there are fewer and fewer people relying on it for their news and information. This is a process that is not going to slow down anytime soon and the blockchain is here to disrupt not just media, but social media too.
The only downside I personally see is that it is getting even easier to spread misinformation and there is a huge number of people out there who are quite gullible and most people are not bothering with checking the information they get online despite the fact that things are easier to source and check than ever before - I guess it's laziness.
The more decentralized information gets, the easier for each of us to fall into our own bubbles it becomes and while the fact that mainstream media is being disrupted is great and a reason for optimism, we should beware of the possible caveats and unintended negative consequences that might arise from it all too.
