My wife has been working with a small recycling project, building the machines from https://preciousplastic.com/ and designing new things with it. But the real result is that we have realised how almost impossible it is to sort and reuse plastic. So now we have removed as much plastic from our household as possible: wipes is now cotton, dish brush is now made from wood and natural brushes etc. The food we buy is still mostly in plastic and we do have a very good recycling system here in Denmark, but even so... Plastic is an incredible and useful material, but the only efficient way of reusing it is burning it and it is made from fossil fuels.
