Must Read Before Your Next Dentist Visit: Is Your Dentist Poisoning You?

<h1>Before you make the next trip into your trusted family dentist for a cleaning or some work, make sure you know the dangers of what is being put into your mouth.&nbsp;</h1>

<p>Modern western dentists apply a variety of chemical compounds to your sensitive oral tissue. Do you really know what they're using??&nbsp;</p>
<p>Many people are already aware of or have heard about the potential danger of fluoride not only in dental treatments, and anesthesia, but also in the public water sources. We'll address this important chemical in an upcoming post, but if you don't already know that fluoride is a neurotoxin, then please do some research before you have this "treatment" done at your next dental visit.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>However, the danger you really need to be aware of is mercury.&nbsp;</strong></p>
<h2>Most people are probably thinking, "Mercury? At my <em>dentist</em> visit?"&nbsp;</h2>
<p><br></p>
<p><strong>Yes!</strong><em><strong> </strong></em>The most concentrated and long lasting form of mercury exposure occurs at the dental office. What most people don't know is that those <strong>dark gray fillings called Amalgams</strong>, that hundreds of thousands if not millions of people have in their mouthes, <strong>are 50% mercury and 50% silver & other metals</strong>.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Whether you are the person in the chair getting the poison put in or if you just happen to be a bystander in the office while others are being drilled and mercury vapor is flying through the air (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXB2AzqCjTE&amp;feature=youtu.be">video link</a>), either way <strong>you are being exposed</strong>!<br>

<h2>Need to knows about mercury:</h2>

<p>1.) It is the second most toxic substance on earth, right below plutonium and right above lead. We learned the hard way the dangers of adding lead into our environment back in the times of Rome, however it wasn't actually banned from household products in the US until 1970. Here we are another 40+ years later <em>still putting an even more toxic substance than lead in our mouths!</em></p>
<p>2.) Sources of mercury in our environment are solid and vapor substances such as in dental fillings, coal mining, seafood (fish, shellfish, supplements, etc) in the form of methylmercury, household objects like light bulbs and thermometers, some food additives, vaccinations for both adults and children, and last but not least our water and air supply. (Why do you think so many people are allergic to seafood? Perhaps it is not the fish but the toxic material they already have too much of in their body...)</p>

<p>3.) There are even studies underway to show how mercury can be transferred via genetic memory (DNA). Not only do you possibly have whatever mercury you have obtained in your lifetime in your body, but you also have some of your parents', grandparents', and even great grandparents' mercury contamination!</p>
<p>4.) Mercury is transferred from pregnant woman to their babies, not only while in the womb, but also via breast feeding after the child is born.<br>

<p>5.) Once in your body mercury tends to settle in your stomach, kidneys, and brain the most. This causes digestive issues, toxic waste removal issue, and neurological issues for people with mercury exposure. <p>6.) Mercury can effect so many different body systems that often people with mercury poisoning are accused of having mental disorders or being hypochondriacs, so therefore are ignored by the medical community.&nbsp;</p>
<p>7.) Some root canals are also filled with mercury before they are capped with a crown or a filling.&nbsp;</p>
<p>By now, if you have read the information given and watched the video above then you are probably thinking one of two things: "OK I get it mercury is really bad and I won't be going to a dentist that uses mercury." OR, "Oh no! I have some of these metal devils in my mouth--so now what?!"&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>If you are being poisoned by amalgam fillings and want them out, you have to make sure you have safe removal so that you are not exposed to more mercury vapor during that process.&nbsp;</strong></p>

If you do have amalgam filings currently make sure you do not let the dentist clean them. Evaery time they are touched they release more and more vapor which goes directly to the brain.  Look over the IAOMT website for more information on safe removal.

Thanks for sharing. It is possible to replace amalgam fillings with something less toxic, and there are more and more dentists offering this service. It's very important to choose a dentist competent and capable in this practice, because as you can see from the video, standard dental work releases quite a lot of mercury gas into the mouth as well.

Do u have a dental degree or degree in human sciences ? Just because you read article and don't have experience can't make u able to draw a conclusion it just allows you to give a opinion. 

But facts don't care about feelings.

And the facts are amalgam fillings have been used for over 150 years no negative effects.

As for fluoride if u are so scared of it stop drinking tea. Go google it😛

Great info. I've been aware of the dangers of amalgam fillings and unfortunately have a few myself. The crappy side about it is that (at least here in Europe) it can be immensely expensive to get the fillings removed safely as not many dentists do this. Here in Ireland for instance there are only two who remove them and the average Joe will have a hard time coming up with the money for this. Personally I limited exposure by not letting the dentist place any more amalgam fillings and even had one tooth pulled in order to prevent a root canal. With my kids, I help them to re-mineralize their teeth so hopefully they will never even need to have any work done. I wish I would have known years ago what I know now, I would have never let the dentist touch my teeth. But it's on top of my priority list to have the fillings removed and detox. I think for me it will be a trip to Hungary or elsewhere in Eastern Europe, since dentistry there is a lot cheaper than it is here. Thank you for putting this information out there. Everyone needs to know this!

It's possible to  reverse some damage and rebuild layers of enamel on a tooth. You need to follow an alkaline diet and cut out sugar and potentially grains. Oil pulling is helpful for oral health; you can swish about a tablespoon of coconut oil around the mouth for 10-20 minutes, then spit it out.

If you check out Ramiel Nagel on his website curetoothdecay.com,  he has a lot of great information on there. Also as @gardenofeden mentions: oil pulling helps to keep teeth and body healthy. There are a lot of detoxes but you need to research properly because some may make things worse. Diet of course is very important too. I can totally forget about my kids getting into oil pulling, but I can control what they eat and drink, so that's what I do to prevent tooth decay. Tony at HerbsPlusBeadWorks on YouTube has a video about regenerating teeth, he has a lot of other info that is great too. I hope this helps.

Yes agreed, everyone needs to know this! Thanks for your input, @misslasvegas. If this was standard information, then stories like yours would not be so common, and even the cost of replacing them would decrease as demand and competition for the service increased. 

It's great that you're showing your children accessible ways to activate and protect health! Prevention is key, and lifestyle choices like diet or oil pulling can not only protect from but even potentially reverse damage.

I did have a lot myself and it cost me around 3,000$ Canadian dollars to have them removed. I never regret it. Health is the most important thing and I felt like mercury amalgams were unacceptable. I wish you the best!

Removing it is MUCH more dangerous than just leaving it there. It releases many small particles that you swallow or inhale.
I am stunned to see these prices. You should go to Asia. There are good clinics that do the job MUCH cheaper. Even if you include the price of the plane ticket! And that'll get you a free holiday!

Thank @teamsteem you for your well wishes. I am sure I will. It's on top of my list and working hard to put away the needed funds. I'd say if I had the work done here in Ireland, it would come down to about the same amount as you mentioned it cost you. The 2 dentists who do it here are really milking their position I think, because only an initial intake just to see what is needed costs almost EUR 300,-. So I passed on that. In Hungary, the same job would cost me around EUR 1,000. Big difference. Yes, mercury amalgams are unacceptable. The funny thing is that I used to think it was rubbish to give someone silver coloured fillings when I was only about 12 or so. Although at the time I had no idea of course what was in it and what it could do to your body. But still I must have had some kind of sense that it was not a good thing to have.

According to the [FDA](https://www.fda.gov/MedicalDevices/ProductsandMedicalProcedures/DentalProducts/DentalAmalgam/ucm171094.htm). *Not that they're always right or share eeeeverything* but they say 
>Dental amalgam is a mixture of metals, consisting of liquid (elemental) mercury and a powdered alloy composed of silver, tin, and copper. Approximately 50% of dental amalgam is elemental mercury by weight.

Now, the only reason I bring this up is because 
1) Silver, tin, AND Copper. 
2) 50% mercury by weight. 
     - Mercury is very heavy. So if we think about it, it's actually the tiniest amount because silver, tin, and copper, are all very light metals in comparison.

I did some research prior to my most recent work and went with the composite fillings (the kind that are the same color as your teeth). This is important to me because I read that with the metals fillings they can eventually crack your teeth, causing more damage. Other things that can happen with the metal fillings is NEW cavities that develop around the filling can be missed because the metal fillings discolor your teeth. 

The composite fillings are double the price, ugh. So frustrating.

It is standard practice to use toxic levels of mercury in fillings, it doesn't really matter that it's lower weight than the other metals. Mercury is detrimental to human health in small amounts, whereas something like silver actually has antimicrobial properties in the body.

That's a great point that metal fillings can indeed crack the teeth, because they are unable to compress under pressure (like in biting), and the force is distributed to the surrounding tooth. They are really not a valid solution for protecting or activating health.

Composites may come down in price as more and more consumers learn about the dangers of mercury and demand an alternative.

I understand how frustrating it is. I had to have 15 fillings replaced and removed. I ended up having 6 of the teeth just pulled because of cost and how much damage was around the mercury fillings. It ended up costing about $4,000 total and took me and my family almost 4 years to save up that money in addition to the $1000 a month in supplements it was costing just to keep me alive.

Dentists have been using polymer fillings more and more lately.  The last two fillings I had were polymer based.  
While they do not contain mercury the new fillings (and the mercury ones) are temporary solutions.  It is normal for fillings to fail and re-fail, needing to be refilled.  The practice of filling over and over ignores the underlying cause of the cavities, which is usually driven by diet. This is one of the most serious health issue of our day. 

Mercury has been identified as one of the top 10 most problematic pollutant according to a Blacksmith Institute 2011 study, yet 24/7 off gassing in people's mouth isn't a problem according to health authorities. 

Anyone who gave any serious look at the medical literature on the subject will come to a very different conclusion and will also end up seriously questioning the intent or sanity of these same health authorities.

Indeed there should be proof of safety before implementing such practices on people.  It's unbelievable that even though the proof that amalgams are NOT safe, mercury is still being used on a daily basis--and people are having to pay to get poisoned. Very good post. I don't think even dentists themselves understand how dangerous these substances are. When I rejected the fluoride treatment at my son's dental visit, his dentist looked at me as though I was completely stupid for not wanting this super concentrated fluoride varnish in his mouth! 
Here in the UK they have even rolled out a scheme to apply the fluoride varnish by dental nurses at schools and nurseries....so you don't even need to visit the dentist to get it. Furthermore, I don't believe that the 6 monthly school visits are cross-referenced with the child's normal dental visits. these guys are being taught to install "time-bombs" in your mouth. Almost any treatment they do is almost like it's designed to bring you back for follow up treatments...

It's a pity, the whole healthcare apparatus works along these lines, but dentistry is particularly bad!

Do u have any education in dentistry? Is there any deaths that can be linked to this? 

Well I have I am a dental student.
I have read in journals and books about it and u need to ingest a hell of a lot of fluoride for it to be toxic! Like 2.5 grams systemic intake can have effect. Topically remineralizes  teeth by replacing lost hydroxy appetite crystals , lost due to acid caised by carbohydrate consuming bacteria (Streptococi) .

As for amalgam fillings becoming less common practice has to due with aesthetics reasons. I myself have an amalgam filling members of my family also have it and I would recommend it to them cause cheaper and more effective.

Data does not support that fluoride remineralizes teeth, but it does show that there are extensive dangers posed by this substance. Additionally, acid damage can be stopped by changing the diet. 

Amalgam fillings are not more effective than composites. Composites can absorb some of the force of impact (such as in biting) unlike metal fillings, which transfer it to the tooth tissue and can lead to more cracks and fissures. 

Cognitive dissonance is very real, which is why it's imperative to do more research rather than writing off opposition to your beliefs. The evidence is very clear that both fluoride & mercury are toxic to humans.

Fluoride applied at dentist are topical just as are toothpaste, meaning not to ingest.  Alchol is also toxic but we drink it ? To much will kill us but also has medicinal benefits, why aren't you taking on that?


Where did this person in your village gain his information about dentistry? 

I read numerous articles and I am proof of fact amalgam lasts longer. I have different types of fillings in my mouth yet the amalgam are best shape where composite has fractured and needs to be fixed after 3 years. 

Have u observed physiological process with microscope that takes place once fluoride is applied to a tooth. 

And why whould I use fluoride and keep using fluoride toothpaste as oral health care worker? I have nothing to gain exept healthy teeth!

Decades ago I had all my mercury fillings replaced with gold.  The doctor, he was really a detective doctor, advised replacement.  I had been going to the emergency room every year for asthma prior to replacement  with gold.  No more trips to the ER.  This knowledgeable dr told me I would never get cancer after the replacement with gold.  Oral health is extremely critical since each tooth is associated with an organ.  Experiments proved taking a tooth infection and putting it into a poor animal caused disease.  They get away with it, not really because many dentists develop brain problems from the mercury not unlike the old time felt hat makers who used mercury in their products.

As far as root canals...97% of breast cancer patients had root canals performed.  And yet dentists continue getting away with poisoning their patients, staff and themselves.  Why?  Because the silver amalgams are easy to work with...they are pliable and easily fill in the cavities.

I recently heard a minerals expert say teeth can regrow if you let them.  Of course, the cavity must be cleaned, no food for days and lots of water.  I believe him.

Thanks for the article.  I try to tell relatives and friends not to get mercury fillings.  I hope a few of them listen.

Yes. Do not take braces made out of nickel. Nickel is one of the most cancerous alloy there is. Also if you already have other metal in your mouth they will create very strong galvanic currents. 

Research this very seriously before having them place. Seriously the galvanic current can be stronger than the current our brain usually works on so these current have nasty consequences.

Yeah, people are lied to about how to avoid dental work in the first place too.  Do not consume table sugar via food or drink, and also avoid all acidic food or drink.  If you drink something acidic like lime juice, rinse it from your teeth immediately.  I got a gum line cavity because of lime juice as an example.

My childhood was scarred by numerous dentist visits.  I had tons of fluoride treatments, fluoride toothpaste, etc.  None of it helped.  My teeth were rotting because I was eating sugar all day every day.  The tea I drank had 2 cups of sugar per gallon, and I would eat powdered Tang with my finger out of cup.

The fillings I had were mercury amalgam type, but I've had almost all of them removed.  The only ones remaining are on teeth that do not chew, so there's no pressure placed on them to release the chemicals.

I already did a photo at the beginning and will do 1 every evident growth and yes...most def will share with the blockchain once succeded in a before and after post (I hope am doing everything right I couldn't afford to go to the "debtist" for financial and the mentioned reasons in this post, everytime I went for a simple clean up I got my teeth cracked so I did  my online research and now i cut sugar 100%, discovered oil pulling and just priceless info that I wiuldn't be able to access otherwise, my teeth suffered greatly but at least now am painless and feeling clean :))

Wow!!  This is an incredibly interesting subject and one that needs to get a lot of attention.  I'm glad to see @teamsteem chime in here with some valuable information and knowledge about these matters.  

Seeing the truth about the continued use of already-known neurotoxins and extremely dangerous substances introduced into the body by the supposed "professionals" is very disturbing.  If I were a dentist I would not only be delving into this subject for the health of my patients, but also for my own health, as there must be a lot of exposure to mercury through their daily use of such toxins.  

Hopefully people will begin to realize that this is only one of the things  they are exposed to that has detrimental affects on health.  If this is true--then what else is also true?  It's something to seriously consider and do some research about.  Thank you @gardenofeden for raising the subject and bringing it to light.  These are incredibly important matters.

I actually fell victim of this when as a child i had some teeth filled with amalgam. I was often very sick, stomach aching, head aching. Thankfully my mother read up on the topic early and about 20 years ago had all of the stuff re-extracted from my teeth and substituted with ceramics. My issues are gone ever since. But still today, i talk to dentists who claim this is a made up issue. It's terrifying.

Mercury inhibits the bodies ability to regenerate BH4 known as tetrahydrobiopterin a molecule necessary for cardiovascular and heart health as well as dopamine and serotonin neurotransmitter synthesis. Silver directly counteract Mercury in the body which is why they mix it half and half no doubt as it takes a while before the effects of the Mercury start to really become more and more noticeable. Eventually though the silver is not enough and you need either even more silver like colloidal silver to control the Mercury but the only real fix is to get the fillings removed and be in a constant state of detox with the iodine and flush the mercury out of the brain with the colloidal gold from my perspective.
