### <center>Yeah, crazy but a lot of us have actually been eating loads of chemicals and that may look a little funny in a couple generations.</center>
<p>

I'm listening to yet another [Rewild Yourself podcast](http://www.danielvitalis.com/rewild-yourself-podcast/survival-guide-for-future-humans-mike-adams-105) and this one's a hell of a wake up call...  Most of those reading my posts are probably already on some kind of path towards self-reliance, growing your own food and developing skills that a robot cannot replace. 

**The rest may be participating in a mass suicide!**

I eat generally pretty well, balanced and mostly organic, but the more I dig into this world of *human nutrition* and rewilding, the more I find it difficult to eat what is **really** good.  

**I am now looking for nutrient-dense foods.**

This podcast does not talk about that kind of nutrtion, but it goes into the dangers of both big-farm using pesticides and the organic farmers unknowingly using human waste (from large cities) as fertilizer. They talk about fluoride a bit too and a few other things we should know about surviving the next human extinction event.  

Lucky are the people on a path to natural medicine, homesteading and those who are here to make the world a better place (look up amongst those, @Ecotrain @naturalmedicine and @innerblocks)...

Thought so! :) There are 2 native types that grow in my area. A red and a blue type of elderberry--got both types growing on my wild homestead. The red likes moisture and a bit of shade while the blue likes dry and open land. The blue type gets sky blue berries that are really nice looking. The red gets bright red berries that really stand out in a shady forest. I have thought about growing a couple cultivar varieties too. Could be a nice addition to one of my food forests! :)

My 5 year old son told me they were eldeberries... he learned it at summer camp on a local farm!!!  It's amazing how little ones can recognize these things so quickly!

I've missed the boat with the elderberries! 😆 It's been a long time since I've seen them. They don't grow wild in Australia. We have blackberry nightshade here and they taste similar, but you need to be sure they're fully ripe.

There us this wise saying about food being medicine *Let your food be your medicine*. The degree of awareness in Europe and America may be high, in Africa, its really a big problem.
