I noticed that lifestyle tracking such as step counters, diet trackers combined with daily reminders throughout the day about your activity helps a lot.  

For example, I have a reminder on my watch that tells me I have to drink water, it reminds me every few hours. 

With a bit of extra effort, one can track their diet and nutrients. For example, I have an app that would suggest me foods depending on what I ate so far. 

Sleep tracking app that tells you how many hours you slept and how regular your sleeping times were. 

Tracking is not interesting if you do it for a day or two, but gets interesting if you do it for weeks and start to notice patterns and the app recommends you better behaviour. 

Carefully planned reminders and trackers can go a long way.
