Haha! well we can assume that he could because several occasions it was described that he was holding both guns and normally you didn't do that unless you could hit with both. It's a rare gift though. Just ask anyone who shoots handguns. It's dang near impossible to be accurate with two guns at the same time.

You weren't around then but in my series about Wild Bill Hickok I talked about that quite a bit because Wild Bill was as accurate with his left hand as he was with his right hand and he always carried both of his Ivory handled pistols, it made him very lethal and he won all his confrontations.

So while it is possible that he kept one gun to switch when he ran out of bullets in the other so he didn't have to stop and reload, I think he was probably skilled with both hands. That's my professional 2 bit opinion. lol. good question though, thank you.

As for me, no way, I've tried it with ridiculous results. lol. No, one gun is enough to handle two snakes.
Here's a picture from the movie that I like:

One gun. Two snakes????? That's two snakes too many. Speaking of being ambidextrous! John's grandfather was a signwriter and he was able to write or paint equally well with both hands.

It came in very handy when he was up a ladder painting signs. He wouldn't have to shift the ladder so much as he just swapped the tin of paint with his paint brush and mahl stick and kept painting. It is a rare gift.

Love that pic of Robert Redford by the way.

oh you would love ANY picture of Robert Redford! lol...yeah me too. Well John's Grandfather probably would have been able to use a handgun in each hand then ....possibly.
I agree about the snakes, it's close to warm weather here and we gotta be super cautious about them in the Springtime. I actually need a better snake gun but I don't know if Mrs. J will go along with it. I mean she agrees that we do because my old one isn't reliable and when you got one on your deck outside the door you need something that fires! lol.

Well, to tell you the truth. I do think Robert Redford was rather cool but I really liked Paul Newman best. He was such a nice guy which was a bonus to his good looks and charm. I like his sauces too. 😁
