The Boston tea party incident

<p>A new law for tea trade had been brought by the British Parliament. This implementation of this law permitted the East India Company to deliver tea to America. In order to grow tea business, they decrease the price rate of tea. Americans were interested to buy cheap tea and thus the sale of tea was increased and the East India Company successfully earned a lot of money. But according to American colonists it was a policy of the British government to have their monopoly on business matters. If it would happen, it would cause loss of trade in the colony. The East India Company placed their ships near the Boston port. The ships had been robbed by the people of Boston and about 342 tea boxes were thrown away in the sea. This is known as “Boston tea-party incident”.</p>

<h2>Effect of Boston Tea Party Incident</h2>
<p>Due to this incident an excitement spread all over England. The British Parliament realized and supported this incident and made the Massachusetts Act. According to this law the commander of the British military became governor of the American regions. All types of commerce were banned at the port of Boston. As per the Quebec Act, Canada’ boundary was extended up to the Ohio River. Special facilities were provided to Roman Catholics. The Puritans were not happy with this decision and they became unsatisfied.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The policy of the suppression of the British Government affected the colonists adversely. And that’s why they made an organization. Congress held the first meeting in Philadelphia on 5th September, 1774. In this meeting a manifesto was created in which colonists mentioned their rights. British Parliament wanted to end pending laws. A proposal of ending of import-export with the United Kingdom was passed. A settlement application with the colonies was sent by Lord North, but till then the war was declared. It is known as America’s freedom struggle.&nbsp;</p>
