From all I have read of the softfork decision @wakeupkitty, the top witnesses certainly knew the potential threat they faced. And supposedly took steps to protect themselves. And us ... If you are like me, they didn't ask for my opinion. About whether there is now sufficient trust to move forward in any sort of a positive, constructive manner ... We'll see soon enough!
