>What comes in your mind when you hear, Red? A color, a flower,  shoes? Or someone in love?
Has it ever occured to you as a name?
My name is red but I'm about to tell you my story with this "red" of a word that made a history in my life and still changed it for good.

When you talk about Red in "Excel law firm", you picture a bold classy lady with black heels, Success aura, Diligent and smart, strict and disciplined, that was me, the Boss lady who was pictured as perfect by my colleagues, Juniors and seniors alike and my clients too.

Well, I was perfect to them and to me too, if only I had not this one problem that not only haunted my life but my personal love life too! Talk about invasion of privacy!!!
</div>

<div class="text-justify">
My relationships never lasted till marriage not because I never found my prince charming, not because I was not beautiful inside-out or something like that but because I knew that me, even though I look this beautiful with my Charming eyes and my pretty face and the perfect body too. I knew that I was missing something that should have made me whole.
</div>

<div class="text-justify">
So, because of this I stopped accepting date invitations, became hostile to men and of course I avoided family meetings...why? I was already in my late 20's and I didn't have a boyfriend to flaunt like my cousins did. Talk more of a man to call my own. My mom knowing my ordeal simply told me to forget getting a man for myself and just live life. It was supposed to make me feel better but it made it worse.It was like hell on Earth for me. My darkest deepest secret, I've tried all I could to get this right  but nothing was coming through as a solution or maybe a miracle.

It was just a normal day for me when I walked into the cafe that early morning and went straight to order a cup of coffee. I was done ordering and I was handed my cup. As I was about to go find a seat to sit, I bumped into someone and the coffee spilled on him. Yes, it was a he. I apologised and asked him to let me compensate him but he refused. Instead, he was smiling and asked for my name . At that time, I lost my cool and stomped off on him. There was no need starting a fight because I knew I was wrong and even if he wanted to just get acquainted, I wasn't cut out for it. I just know that.

I went to work and continued my day as I usually will. Thankfully, I didn't get stained by coffee so I wouldn't miss the coming of one of our senior partners at the law firm today. 
It was finally time and we were waiting. I had heard so much about him and how he's respected and I knew that missing this would be like missing the coming of Mr.president

He walked in and I couldn't believe my eyes. It was now that I saw his face better. He was rather handsome, tall and I must admit, still looked good. He was still wearing the stained suit set and I could only wonder why? It was just as if we communicated telepathically and his eyes met mine and I brought it down.

<div class="text-justify">
He was asked if he wanted a welcome party and he said yes, while looking at me. Why?
Well, it was made mandatory to attend for no good reason. Even though, he came up to me and asked specifically for my attendance. He told me that it would be a way of compensating him. I agreed to go! I still don't know why!

<div class="text-justify">
Later that evening, I was getting ready and asked my one friend, "Google" for recommendation of a dress, it chose RED for me but I hated red as a color, I wouldn't wear black....... so, I chose a white dress instead. There was nothing to worry about. A coffee wasn't going to stain my dress or was it?
On getting to the party,  I was happy I did. Adam, welcomed me, he was the host of the party. We were talking and the more I wanted to stop the conversation, the more it continued.

We sat down for a while and I was comfortable until......I felt pains in my abdomen and I tried suppressing it. It came harder and I felt like using the restroom. As I stood up, I could feel all eyes on me. I knew eyes were on me before but this time, Adam was looking at me too.

*He said, "your dress. ..red"
I didn't quite understand if he was calling my name or trying to say something. He might've understood my confusion. So, this time he said;
"Your dress is red. It's stained"
I froze and became ice. I was still standing when he stood up, removed his suit, tied it on my waist, and escorted me out.*

I was in one of the rooms in Adam's mansion washing up. My feelings were mixed. I was happy and elated because in 28 years, I became  *the lady on red* , I was finally whole and could offer everything a woman can offer as a female. But ....then, I was embarrassed. Was this the best day of my life or the worst? 
My condition was and is rare, I was fortunate.

When I came out, I saw the beautiful red dress on the bed. I knew it was for me and even though I had hated the red color all this time, it suddenly became beautiful to me. I wore it and returned to the party. As embarrassed as I was, I had a blast of a night.
</div>

<div class="text-justify">
The next day, I already knew I was going to be the talk of the day but I couldn't care less. I was trying to adjust to this new feeling of menstrual cramps? And then, there was Adam who seemed a symbol of God's blessing in my life. We started dating and eventually got married. In 28 years, I had finally started menstruating maybe because I met him? After depressing states of feeling like a male in female skin, I got assured of my gender. It was a miracle to me. It is a blessing to be a woman.
