සල් මල එතරම් බහුල මලක් නෙවෙයි. මිදුලෙන් මිදුල රෝස, කූඩළු, පිච්ච මල් අපි අනන්තවත් දැකල තියනව. ඒ අතර කවදාවත් නොදුටුව සල්මල මේ තරම් අපට සුපුරුදු වුන හැටි මතකද?

එදා එහෙම පාඩම කියවද්දිත් සල්මලක් මම ඇත්තටම දැකල තිබුණෙ නෑ.

බුද්ධ පුජාවට මල් වට්ටි තුන හතරක් පිළියෙළ කරලා අහවර වෙලා මම වට පිට බැලුවේ අද මට මවන්න පුළුවන් අපුරු කතාව මොකද්ද කියල. විහාර බිමේ කොනක තිබුන සල් ගහ මට පෙන්නුවේ අපේ මල්ලි. සල් ගහ මට පෙනුනේ තවත් එක ස්ටීමිට්  කතාවක් වගේ. 

කුසල් මොහොතකට මල් ආසනේ උඩ තියල කැමරාව මානගෙන මම සල් ගහ යටට ගියා.

ඇත්තටම සල් ගහක් මෙතරම් සමීපව මම දැකපු පලවෙනි වතාව මේක. කඳේ මතුවෙන මල් පොකුරු, රේණු පිරිච්ච මල් කෙමිය, ගෝලාකාර  පොහොට්ටු, රොන් වලට ඇලි ඇලි ඉගිල්ලෙන මි මැස්සො දිහා බල බල මම වෙලාව නාස්ති කරා. දැහැනෙන් මිදිල මල් ආසනය දිහා බලනකොටයි දැක්කෙ අම්ම ඔරවගෙන බලන් ඉන්නව. ඉක්මනටම ශ්‍රද්ධාවෙන් හිත පුරවගත්ත මම ඉතුරු වෙලා තිබුන මල් වට්ටිය ගිහින් වෙහෙර වහන්සේට පූජ කරලා ප්‍රාර්ථනා පේලියක් මිමිනුව.

මම එනතුරු අම්මල ක්ෂාන්තියෙන් බලන් ඉන්න විදිය මම තේරුම් ගත්ත. හිතපු නැති විදියට මතු වුණේ සඳකඩ පහනේන නැගිටලා ආව බළල් පැටියෙක්. අපේ ෆූච් එක්ක ඒ බළල් පැටියව සසඳන්න මම තත්පර 60 ක් ගත කරා. පෙනුම, කටහඩ, හුරුබුහුටිකම මේ හැම දේකින්ම අපේ ෆුච් තමයි එක කියල ආපු චෛතසිකය සඳකඩ පහනෙන් පනිද්දී බිම වැටිලා පොලොවට කිඳා බැස්සා. 

ඊට පස්සේ ඉක්මනින් පහන් කීපයක් දල්වල ඉඳගත්තේ බෝධි පුජාවට. දන්න ගාථ ටිකත් පොත බල බල වරද්දන බවක් දැනුන නිසා පොතෙන් ඇහැ අයින් කරන් කට පාඩමෙන් ගාථා සජ්ජායනය කරා.

බළල් පැටියත්, සල් ගහත්, දුරකථනයත් අතර මගේ හිත මාරුවෙන් මාරුවට දෝලනය වෙන අතර තුර අපි දෙවියන්ට පින් දුන්න. රාගයත් ද්වේෂයත් මෝහයත් විනාඩි කිහිපයකට අමතක කරලා මම බෝ සිසිලෙන් සැනසුනා. වැලි මළුවේ පොඩි එකෙක් ඇදපු කුරුටු බලි. පොඩිවට චෛත්‍ය දෙකකුත් වැලිවලින්. මමවත් යන කොට කකුලෙන් මේක මකල යන්න ඕන .

ඉමිනා පුණ්‍ය කම්මෙන මා මේ බාල සමාගමෝ.. සතන් සමාගමෝ හෝතු යාවනිබ්බාණ පත්තියා!
