*Cuando el destino nos alcance* es el título en español (*Soylent Green*) de un filme de ciencia ficción de 1973. Muchos han dicho que el futuro está aquí y que nuestro destino lo decidimos nosotros. Pero puede llegar sin darnos cuenta, y no haber hecho nada para que sea el mejor.

En el caos, en los estados de emergencia social, aumentan los controles y amenazan los autoritarismos, sobre todo militares. ¡Cuidado con una distopía anticipada!

Abundan los espíritus apocalípticos en estos días, pero también los cinismos y las cómodas humoradas. Nuestra actitud y conciencia es más que nunca inestable, pero deben ser, antes que nada, responsables. El equilibrio de los árboles.

Curioso que mucha gente no sepa qué hacer con su tiempo en estos días de necesario aislamiento en casa. Y que incluso les moleste. Vivimos tan en la exterioridad, la obligación de la calle, la aceleración cotidiana, que nos incomoda dar tiempo a la calma, la lentitud, la relación interiorizada con la vida por la experiencia con un buen libro, por ejemplo, entre otras cosas.

* Common language means "crown" as to reach a high degree in something. What has "crowned" humanity with this virus? Its negligence, its carelessness, in short, its misery?


* *When Fate Reaches Us* is the Spanish title (*Soylent Green*) of a 1973 science fiction film.  Many have said that the future is here and that our destiny is decided by us. But it can come without us realizing it, and not having done anything to make it the best.

* In the chaos, in the states of social emergency, controls increase and authoritarianisms, especially military ones, threaten. Beware of an early dystopia! For some "governments" it may be the best time to impose their ideal state.


* Apocalyptic spirits abound these days, but so do cynicism and comfortable moods. Our attitude and conscience is more than ever unstable, but they must be, first of all, responsible. The balance of the trees.
