What you comment in your posts makes me think that you are a very grateful guy, it's true. It is probably easier for the company to fire several workers, but instead it prefers to do that, lower wages and keep its workers.
It's good, I guess it gives you.a little more confidence in the company. 
You have somewhere to get additional resources from with cryptocurrencies, and that's something to be thankful for as well.
