Why would people read our article when there are many options in the vast ocean called the internet? As great Turkish poet Cemal Sureya said concisely, "Life is short, birds are flying."  Our most valuable treasure is time, and reading is a great investment. The decision on this important investment is made in a concise period of time. And the title we use is very decisive about whether our article will be read or not. I want to give some tips on this topic.

# **Using A Number In The Title**

"55 Authors You Must Read Before You Die", "9 Ways To Earn Lots Of Money From Steemit", "12 Tips To Gain and Protect Love" kind of topics attract readers. Number usage gives the reader the message that the artıcle is confronted with precise and easy-to-understand information. And since there are numbers, the reader thinks he/she will have concise and comprehensive information. It is a method that also allows writers to focus on various aspects of the subject. 

If I suggest using numbers in the title, why did I not use a number in the title of this article? I'll explain why.

# **Not Using Too Short or Too Long Titles**

The title of our article needs to be a kind of summary to be explained in the content. I can say that ideal titles are striking and original phrases like slogans. If we can do it in 2 or 3 words, it is fine. It is also possible to use more than 3 words because it is tough to create an original and purposeful expression by using few words. I mostly use 4 or 5 words because I am neither a poet nor an advertiser. 

Although I have not personally applied it, I have learned from the internet that long titles of 14-15 words also draw attention. You can also experiment using a long title in your articles. 

# **Using Popular Search Results**

When I started writing a blog in Steemit, I looked at my old blog, where I wrote about 50 articles 10 years ago. I found a striking result when I checked how many times each content was red on the site. The articles on topics that come to my mind with poetic intentions were red by 50 people, and the ones I used Google Keyword Planner to find popular topics were red 500 to 700 times. 

You can try typing the word you are interested in in Google's search bar, leaving a space, and typing all the letters of the alphabet in order. So you can learn again about the subject. For example, if you type "sci-fi a" in the search bar, you can reach the results such as "sci-fi action," sci-fi anime," sci-fi animation, etc.

# **Keeping The Word**

The content of our article should be compatible with the subject. Do not use headings that do not reflect content to draw attention. Such behavior may damage your reputation as an author.

# **Taking Advantage Of Best Practices**

The articles that attract people's attention have been thoroughly reviewed, and well-functioning word patterns have been revealed. I[From here](https://seopressor.com/blog-title-generator/) you can reach dozens of topics suitable for every subject.

Also, following up on popular bloggers'  headlines can help to find good headlines.

# **Being Creative**

Any golden rule can be broken and absolutely must be broken. After a while, some headlines become clichés. Therefore, it is essential to find creative titles that fit the spirit of the subject you are writing. 

Using numbers in the topic is a working method. Still, I didn't use a number in the title of this article because I thought that I  found a title that would appeal to people. 

# **Looking From The Eyes Of The Reader**

Before writing our title, trying to picture which problem the reader wants to solve in your mind would be appropriate. And trying to express it from his/her point of view would be beneficial. For example, using "How Can I Find an Interesting Title" instead of "How to Write an Interesting Title" will probably be more attractive to the reader.
