The whole idea of no manipulation and the matter of fact way Steem community does things is why I decided to join here and not other places/platforms of similar nature.  The mention of manipulation and ICOs seems to go hand in hand these days and if someone can control the mass marketing of it either with a celebrity or  known promoter on Youtube, then it is inevitable to see  it get pumped to some degree.  After all, if Paris Hilton is making reference to Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency on our social media https://cointelegraph.com/news/paris-hilton-floyd-mayweather-seen-in-ico-ads-as-cryptocurrencies-hitting-mainstream  then there is NO DOUBT that manipulation, when used in that context will undoubtedly sway an ICO one way or another just off that premise.
