I often wonder if when the singularity occurs if it will bother to tell us? Consider that organisms on Earth evolve, the next step is machines, there is a lot of metal on earth, obviously meat bags won't be the dominant organism forever. What seems quite nefarious is these stupid ads with the Frenchman for AI, like why they fuck do they have to market it? they are not even selling a consumer product as far as I can tell. Why do they want people to like and accept AI so much?
