Welcome to Steemit. Great introductory post. I'm especially intrigued that you mentioned electroneum, as I've also been researching it lately and testing out the various mining potentials available.  Regarding the app, it isn't actually 'mining' electroneum, it's simply a marketing ploy from their end to generate interest. That being said, you're still being issued free coins, so why not take advantage of that.   So far i haven't had much luck using the official desktop miner, but perhaps I need to try a different pool. Anyways, I look forward to following your content.
