 #### “Working with Children at the Sensory Room” # I love working with children in the sensory room. Do you know about sensory rooms? In my case, I work with students who have special needs and need support. Sometimes students go to the sensory room to calm down, get nice ideas, reset or as a reward anytime at school. Usually schools have this quiet room in school. These rooms are very silent, dark, peaceful, imaginative and comfortable. Yesterday was a special program for some kids who need special support. I went the swimming pool at Acadia University in Wolfville, NS, Canada for this program. One of my students couldn’t swim today so we went to the special sensory room. Wow!!! I loved it! Everything was very cool in this room. I was very lucky to see this room. Thanks to my student who couldn’t swim. There was a cool projector for the floor. Students can play with the images on the floor. There are many cool screen settings in the computer with music and Nova Scotia looking art on the wall. You can change music with a lot of situations’ videos. The sensory room is good for all people not only for students. The sensory room gives us totally different feelings. You can recover from sickness and recover from mental difficulties. Also, this is a perfect room for autistic children. The sensory room reminds me of Japanese Karaoke rooms or Comic Cafes. That would be cool if we could all have a sensory room in our house! #### “センサリールームで生徒たちと過ごす” # 生徒たちとセンサリールームで過ごすのが大好きです。みなさんはセンサリールームを知っていますか？わたしの場合は、特別なサポートや手助けを必要とする生徒たちと働いているので、学校に設置されているセンサリールームで生徒たちの落ち着きを取りもどしたり、いいアイディアを思いつく機会を与えたり、リセットしたり、ごほうびなどに時々利用します。この部屋は静かで、暗くて、平和で、想像力を刺激してくれる、心地よい場所です。 昨日はサポートを必要とする生徒たちの、特別プログラムの日でした。カナダノバスコシア州のウルフビルにあるアケイディア大学のプールに行きました。生徒のひとりが水に入ることができなかったので、付き添いで特別室に行きました。 わーお！こういうの好みです！部屋の中のすべてのモノがかっこよかったです。泳げなかった生徒に感謝です。床用のプロジェクターがあり、床に映し出される画像で遊ぶことができます。そして様々な種類の画像を壁に映し出すコンピューターがあり、ノバスコシア州らしいアートが壁に描かれていました。シチュエーションに合わせたいろいろな種類の音楽とビデオがありました。 センサリールームは生徒だけではなく、すべての人に適しています。気持ちをかなり変えてくれます。病気や心の問題を癒してくれ、自閉症にもとても効果があります。センサリールームはカラオケや漫画カフェに共通する雰囲気があるような気がします。もしこのセンサリールームが各家庭にあったら最高ですね！  Light House with Funky Lights 灯台とファンキーなライト  Flags on the Floor Screen 床のスクリーンに写った国旗  If you flip them, you will see the earth 国旗をめくると見えてくる地球  The Sensory Room at Acadia University アケイディア大学のセンサリールーム About Sensory Rooms センサリールームについてはコチラ: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sensory_room About Acadia University アケイディア大学についてはコチラ: https://www2.acadiau.ca/home.html  My Site: https://koto-art.wixsite.com/mysite-1
