Everything around is trying to kill us with the chemicals in it. And of course planting your own fruits and veggies is always the better option, but they are not free from the crap anyway. It is already everywhere - in the soil, rain, and air. Then you will go home and wash your hands with soap, use toothpaste.... we all got very comfortable with those simple thing. Not many people right now will bother making their own soap from own produced ingredients.
