<h3>Have you ever watched a movie and just broke down crying? Have you ever become so emotionally involved in the movie that it feels like reality? If you have, chances are that you are a very emotionally stable person. &nbsp;</h3>
<blockquote>Research shows fiction, in both literary and cinematic forms, greatly improves peoples capacity for empathy.</blockquote>
<p>Empathy is one of the key aspects of emotional intelligence. &nbsp;This makes you more open to other peoples problems and you become more approachable. When we are emotional, our brains release Oxytocin.</p>
<h3>What is Oxytocin?</h3>
<blockquote>Oxytocin is a powerful <a href="https://www.psychologytoday.com/basics/hormones">hormone </a>and acts as a neurotransmitter in the <a href="https://www.psychologytoday.com/basics/neuroscience">brain. &nbsp;</a>&nbsp;Oxytocin is the hormone that underlies trust. It is also an antidote to depressive feelings.</blockquote>
<p>In our everyday lives we tend to try and keep our emotions to ourselves. <em>Especially boys.</em> &nbsp;Ever heard the phrase: "Cowboys don't cry"? &nbsp;We lose touch with our emotions because we don't want to look weak in front of others, but when we watch a movie we get rid of stress and that is when the emotions start flowing.&nbsp;</p>
<p><em>My sister in law don't watch any movies with animals in them. &nbsp;(With good reason.) She cries from the beginning till the end and I promise you it's like an open faucet! &nbsp;I warned her not to watch the movie "Hachiko", and against good warning ....she still watched it. &nbsp;(They had to come and remove her from the cinema.) Perhaps she just needed a good cry??</em></p>

<p>I tend to get emotionally attached to any series that I watch. I binge watch and then when the series ends, it feels as if my life is going to end. &nbsp;(I vouched never to watch <em>Grey's anatomy</em> ever again after Derick died, but here I am watching series thirteen.</p>

<p>I absolutely adored the series <em>Smallville</em> and I cried like a baby when that ended. &nbsp;</p>

<p>So if you are stressed out and life is getting too much to handle, chances are that you need to go and see a good girly soppy movie. &nbsp;You will feel better and you should get rid of emotional stress. &nbsp;Crying is also good for your eyes, and lets face it a good cry ALWAYS make you feel better!</p>

OHHH I cry! I'm a man and I cry with the movies! I have no problem in saying it! And I'm glad to know that I'm someone who is emotionally stable.

And I'm from your sister's team! I can not see animal movies, but in the end I end up seeing them and I end up crying like a child. The last one I saw was A Dog's Purpose and shit! There I was again, crying like a child. I think it's healthy to be able to express what you feel and not suppress it, because then you end up exploding...
And my favorite series of all time without any doubt is Friends. I also cry when that end...

Good for you...lol! My sister in law phoned me on Sunday for some recommendations on some good movies and I skipped A Dog's Purpose totally.  What a great movie!!! I also cried so don't feel alone.
