howdy Miss Lena! how are you doing today? I still haven't gotten over to your post but since I just remembered it when I saw your name and I'm embarrassed that I didn't get there, I'm going there after I finish this comment.

Mrs. J special? yes, very unique. It can be very frustrating because she is not like anyone else. she always sees things differently from other people but basis everything in life from a spiritual angle or view and that changes most things! lol.

As far as women working as guards, in state or federal prisons, at least in the United States, women work only in the women's sections.
But in county jails, at least in Texas, the women work in both the womens and the men's sections so it's very strange in a way.

In the women's section a male guard can't go into any cells without a female guard with him but in the men's section the women go into the cells alone all the time!

Mrs. J has to go into cells alone, with no cameras, with 7 or 8 big, black, mean looking criminals! The good news is that it is a Federal crime to touch a guard so if they try anything their life is going to be a whole lot worse and most of them are trying to be on good behavior because they are waiting for their trial to start or or in their trial or are doing a short stint in jail for a minor crime.

The other good news is that she has the Great Holy Ghost with her and angels and the prisoners see her as a bright shaft of light in a very dark place so they are nice to her.

She shows no fear but one time she was nervous when she had to go in and cuff a very angry, HUGE, huge black man and she wasn't sure if he was going to cooperate but he did, he was so big she wasn't sure the hand cuffs would fit! lol.

Needless to say I am praying for her constantly too. But we both feel confident that God set her in there. The other women don't like her because they cuss like sailers and yell with their filthy mouths and attitudes and she is quiet, friendly and nice to the inmates and they don't like that. But so far it has worked out better because she has been in the men's section so she doesn't have to work with the women guards. The men guards are all nice to her.

What's crazy though is that they teach the guards all kinds of self defense 
moves and how to get out of holds if someone grabs you, etc etc...BUT they don't teach you that until you get your jailers certification in 90 days! lol. I guess they want to see if you survive the first 90 days before they teach you how to be a professional jailer. lol. crazy and backwards.
