I also experienced the same way before when I was bullied by the way I look or even behave. I get socially awkward sometimes because I get conscious as to how I look but what inspires me to become who I am is the people who had the same stories like mine and had lift their selves up despite their differences. 

Quoting One Direction's song phrase- "Being the way that you are is enough".  We dont need others' jusdgments to validate ourselves.. :)
