My wife and I were literally thinking of doing the same sort of setup. We need room for 2 computers and a piano keyboard for a permanent RV setup, but the extendable table would need to disappear completely in our setup since we have a very compact RV. We were thinking it would fold upwards like a wall-mounted ironing board sort of concept, but still not sure. You gave me ideas though!

Ok. I can't remember where on line I saw it but there's a video that shows a table top that drops down as it slides in. In other words the table is in sections and as its pushed in one section at a time drops down under the preceding section. Does that make sense?

Complete long shot on an unrelated topic...do you have a source for vinyl T-molding, like you might use for finishing off the cut edge of a plywood surface via a router slot cut? I've googled and found some random sources like rockler.com, but their choices are very limited.
