In talking with them, it seems that the slider will only appear if 
You have more than 500 SP. When I first came to Steemit, you
Got the slider automatically after you got that far. Someone
Delegated me a bunch of SP and I had the slider for a while
So I know that it once was this way. I found another addon
That gives you the slider when you have less, but so far I
Haven't gotten it to work. So I will just have to take it all
Back and use Busy. Thanks Jay. @tattoodjay

That’s a pain I ko
Now thats why I first used the Steem plus add on was to get the slider, a pity its all tied to The 500SP
I think tillI got they 500Sp and the slider in the end I decided my SP was low at the time so it really didn’t make much difference and just upvoted what I liked even if it drains my vote power and waited til I got to 500 SP and the slider then I was more artful with vote strengths

I was JUST reading in the Blue and the White papers, and saw
Something about the slider being automatic once you got to 
500 SP.
But now I can't find it. 
If it is automatic, I find it disingenuous for the app to say it gives
You something you would have anyway.
I found another add on that said it would work for people with less than 500, I installed it but couldn't get it to show me a slider, so I 
Uninstalled it. Gonna stay basic.
