Bob was amazing - his political insight was often undervalued.   "War" is a great example of a purely political song - but its not something you sing along to (somehow I seem to know a lot of the words now that I think about it..).  Redemption Song or Three O'Clock Roadblock are two of my favorite protest songs.  Concrete Jungle and the entire "Catch a fire" album I must have burned out a few times.  "Exodus" is another really good album if you like his "Natural Mystic" vibe.  I think the average person could recognize a handful of his songs (which says a lot) - when you start digging into his discography - you really get to see what he was about - even if its not always pretty!  I personally think he's at least on the level of a John Lennon or Bob Dylan lyrically - glad to hear you are exploring some more of his "deeper" work!
