For **Rap Thursday** by @flipstar here an usual contribution. Usually we rarely link Russia with Rap music - but there are some new rappers coming up. Russia will be core country also for the upcoming Dance Weekend. Sad diplomatic banning issues currently with the UK and Russia, hope that gets solved quickly.

## Tatarka - interesting Rap
Irina Smelaya is a video blogger, producer and part-time rapper. She was born in Tatarstan (Russian Federation) and lives in St. Petersburg. Tatarka made it to the news back in 2016 following the release of her debut “Altyn” which is a song in Tatar language - even hard to understand for the usual Russian. So most of the lyrics are a mystery to her main audience but the catchy tunes for sure helped to popularise the Tatar language among young people. She has released only a few songs where she mainly raps in Tatar, English but also in Russian language. 

Irina for sure has a special style - what do you think about her? She is considered to be the Central Asian Rihanna as well. Comment below preferably in German or English - Tatar or Russian might be too difficult for me to understand.

Ich finde, die Schuhe der Kleinen sind komisch und bei der Schneelage auch gefährlich.
Der Typ sollte sich mal einen anderen Friseur suchen und für die Tattooentfernung an einen professionellen Arzt wenden.
