People do commit suicides for the sake of others too. But these forms of heroic suicides have less publicity and it's really rare to have situations where people can volunteer to die and be heroes in the process. I'm not talking about people in war times charging at the enemy in the hopes of being remembered as a hero. I'm talking about rare situations when the job needs to be done and they need to do it. <\/p>\n<p>The three divers during the Chernobyl incident volunteered for a suicide mission for the greater good. While I do think some suicides have shallow reasons, I still believe everyone deserves some bit of our compassion anyway.
