Just being able to calculate your monthly household budget is essentially using mathematics.<\/p>\n<p>I don't think the majority of us will use trigonometry or the likes but basic percentages and calculations I think are essential. I often ask the question when I see my family get caught out purchasing the groceries and they haven't realized 2 smaller ones are cheaper than the bigger one.<\/p>\n<p>Certain people it just comes easier than others and it is about having a head for numbers.
