Payouts that had $100 9 or 10 months ago are getting the same amount of Steem still but in a smaller payout.<\/p>\n<p>When Steem was at $5 and you had a post of $100 in value you were only getting roughly 8.5 SP and 8.5 Steem. At today's prices you only need to have a $5 or $6 post to achieve the same results.<\/p>\n<p>For those that are just looking at growing their accounts and not powering down to subsidize their lifestyle then it should make no difference. I don't plan on taking any money out of my Steem account for at least 5 years. The outside price has no difference on how I work and it doesn't get to me. The price will rise and drop again as it goes through it's growth cycle.<\/p>\n<p>The way to help the Steem price is just to keep growing and powering up. Don't power down and keep the Steem away from the exchanges. <p>A "5-year" dedication for holding Steem or SP is something that I hope everyone should be willing to do and should have done at the time when Steem's price is at its peak. It made me wonder, I guess Steem should have been holding strong until now if the majority didn't cash-out during that time.</p>

I hope the mindset does change and people hold for a long period. Steem would have outperformed most other cryptos and would be in the eye of investors. I believe we will be shocked when Steem starts to move again, I just hope users don't sell.
