Most often than not, contents that requires a lot of thinking and effort to create are supposed to be rewarded decently.

While one could say that asking a question requires some kind of "thinking", the issue lies on the perceived payout value of a content like that.

Just picture a scenario where one account is being auto-upvoted by an orca/whale with an upvote of around $25. If that account starts asking googleable questions like What is Blockchain? or What is Steem? Do you think it is fair that contents like that be rewarded $25?

Which is why I believe to somehow limit this kind of abuse in here, Musing decided to only make this option on "Answers" as there are only a very few upvote services that works on contents posted as a comment or reply.

In theory they could still abuse the system by answering about any questions in here to get their guaranteed $25+ payout but at least they will now be forced to answer the question. If we took the two question above as an example, the likely scenario that would happen is: They will answer the question based on their own words and experience (which would be somewhat acceptable) or they will copy-paste a content from Google, which would give us the legit reason to flag their content. I guess it's a win-win for both side XD

Why is that my questions on musing.io do not appear on my steemit blog, but when I answer one I see a button for this option?
1.1"}" |
