The Europeans new that the Africans were uneducated and ignorant, hence they exploitated these ignorance to enslave the Africans for example they captured king Jaja of Opobo and sent him abroad as a slave after they had deceived him that he was going on a visit to abroad (because he started kicking against slave trade)<\/p>\n<p><strong>EXPLOITATION<\/strong>; It was easy to exploit the Africans because the <em>Europeans had material things at their disposal and they gave the African rulers these material things like local gun or even mirrors, seeing that these rulers were greedy the Europeans exploitated these rulers collecting thousands and thousand of slaves and bribing the rulers,<\/em> the corruption was another reason why it was very easy to traffic African people into slavery <strong>also the slave trade happened because this mineral resources mined in Africa needed to taken their countries and the Europeans will need man power to do this, hence the result of the slave trade<\/strong> but generally the basic late of development and education was one of the reasons why the Europeans choose Africa as the center of the slave trade they conducted.<\/p>","appTags":["history"],"appParentAuthor":"seeee3","appDepth":2,"musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N"}" |
