Great @papilloncharity! I take it in the morning, at least 45 min before eating or drinking any tea or coffee. You should try twice a day even if it's just the first couple of days. I bought the Aloe ferrox at Dischem as well, try your local pharmacy, it's in a tiny box, cost R8,50 and contains 100s of little crystals, very very bitter! I was initially still taking the Omez now and then but soon stopped so perhaps wean yourself off that. 
I've also been using Apple cider vinegar for a couple of years as an alkaniser, about two tablespoons in a half glass of water, it's supposed to help for arthritis as well. It's available at most supermarkets, costs around R20 for 375ml (the organic ones cost a little more)
Good luck with the oil, I'm sure you're going to find much relief, but remember to take it before you eat or drink anything.
