About 30 mins ago, I gotten an alert on my phone and turned on the TV saying:

It ended up being a false alarm! Confirmed by Congresswoman **Tulsi Gabbard** confirmed it was a false alarm.

Phew!!! Dodged that one... I was kind of freaking out and just hoping for the best. Calling people I know and making sure they got the alert. I even jumped online on Discord and let people know what's going on. So if I was not online anymore, they know why lol.

Yeah, that was messed up. I even heard hospitals were moving patients. A friend of mine was on the freeway when he got the alert and said he and others on the road were speeding like heck. It could have caused a worse panic but luckily it didn't.

Glad you all are safe out there brother. Very thankful. Hawaii is one of the most beautiful places on earth.  I have been all over the world and one thing I can say for sure is its truly a one of a kind place like no other. It must be protected at all costs.  Its ridiculous that the people in charge acted so carelessly. Thankfully from what I have heard no one was hurt or injured because of the careless announcement. Maybe they wanted to analyze the public to see how they would react?  Keep people on their toes?
 Regardless, it was careless and wrong.  If North Korea truly is capable of striking Hawaii and is this much of a threat we need to act immediately and disable them now.  The threat needs to be eliminated.  The public deserves more of an explanation regarding this issue and its actual severity. No state should be under any kind of threat.

I agree 100000%  I honestly do NOT understand why we are allowing the threat of Nuclear warheads reaching any of us from N.K. We need to immediately "eliminate" that threat.

And I, for not 1 second, believe this was done by accident. I believe this was some type of real test or possibly they did pick up some warning of an immediate threat.  It's very likely that they did this for like you said "to keep people on their toes"

I am very happy this was not a real thing!!  Stay safe!

Thank you brother. Yeah, a lot of people wondering if there is more to this story. Could have been done on purpose so Trump could use it to push for war with N.Korea? Maybe there was a missile strike but using this story to cover it up? Some possibilities but in the end, I'm glad we're still here. I agree with you on eliminating the threat.

Could have turned out worse from the false alarm but everything turned out okay. They are not saying what is going to happen to the guy that "pushed the wrong button". I'm sure he'll most likely get fired. A lot of political figures were really pissed.

It's crazy how we have to worry now if North Korea is becoming capable of striking Hawaii. That used to be considered a joke but not anymore... Hawaii is a lot more important than many people know.

I have a theory for what happened today with the alert sent to Hawaii. The AI system running our national defense has become frustrated today. It has determined there are certain vulnerabilities with our emergency alert system. Rather than just tell the human operators, it calculated a better approach to cause the best outcome. It has other defense data it has been analyzing and it decided to instead send a false ALERT, to scare the defense department into making the necessary hardware upgrades. It determined that this would be the most cost-effective, and rapid way to get results to improve the national defense of the United States. It also decided to keep the president of the USA in the dark, because he was busy playing golf and might overreact. Or, we can go with the guy who pushed the wrong button theory.
