It's almost as though they want to use our own free will, as a commodity in a war of attrition against our own natural instincts.

I feel like we were on the right track to getting physically prepared, but we kept getting more and more dessimated. After I graduated college instead of finding a job we just got more and more homeless. We went from house to basement, to room in a basement, to the street and a bunch of nightmare rentals, but we've made it full circle back to a house and garden again! I'm proud of us. 

We've sure mentally prepared in the time being though. People really undervalue the <i>less is more</i> philosophy, so they'll probably never see giving up their smartphone, meditating, enjoying nature and family as a step in the right direction.
