It’s kinda sad to see the level of consciousness, insecurity and greed of the scammers but every opportunity like Steemit Open Mic will attract such low life creatures. I also wonder about entering the competition with a cover. Shouldn’t the original artist get a cut? The whole question of copyright and steemit is in the grey area. I’m a singer/songwriter myself and I believe in protecting creator’s rights. I think Steemit should have an intellectual property team that takes care of these issues to avoid being charged with infringement fees sooner or later. For the sake of the whole Steemian community! I would hate to see the company go down because of copyright issues.
