Slavery does exist and probably always will. Selfish people and narcissists will try to own you. You may not have control over their behavior, however you have control o yourself. It is all in the mind. As long as you do not let them take ownership of your mind, they do not own you. They may think they do. You control how you will choose to react to such people. Will you get stressed out and upset? Or will you take charge of your own happiness? You can try to change the selfish and narcissistic. But only they can change themselves. Thanks for the feedback. Good points. One thing though, it overt slavery, it doesn't matter how free you are in mind, if someone enslaved you physically you are a slave :/ Also, negative things people do to you, can stress you out or upset you, that's a natural reaction to negative effects affecting you. We indeed can't make anyone change instantly, but we can influence people to change which takes time.
