Further, I can't help but chuckle at the incredible irony in the technocratic notion of creating super-beings or super-humans with technology. We already were super-humans (compared to todays standards) before technology. Vast memories, physical stamina, powerful immune systems, etc. Technology has only crippled our innate "super-human", though it's really just human ability. I too am interested to see what happens with the future of A.I. but, I will be watching the events unfold from a distance and without dependence on the outcomes. :) It's why I truly find the political situation in the U.S. entertaining. It no longer holds sway over me! Such as will be my enjoyment of the Technocratic model unfolding.

I agree that technical developments and over-dependence on material tools have weakened certain human abilities. Men once recited massive volumes of literary work on cue, but the written word atrophied that skill and capacity in men. Men built pyramids and megathilic structures using gravity, leverage, and calculations; now, some people can only imagine "aliens" when looking at these structures.

To be fair, the ability of man at the time of the Giza pyramids was likely abilities that we would imagine aliens to have. It's just a shame our culture has suppressed much of our latent abilities and created systems that express more mundane aspects of the human condition. But, I would say the pyramids were designed and built by men. But, not by employing simple mechanical strategies as is theorized today. I believe they had other technologies, (Technologies of the mind and spirit) that aided in the construction and precision. The brute force mechanized replicas are seen scattered throughout egypt and sudan as mere attempts to replicate the Giza pyramids.
